Quick Pop In

Hello everyone!! This is my second post for today. I wanted to pop in with some cards I created for some challenges.

My first card was inspired by two challenges.

I used the badge from the Global Design Team Project #288 as inspiration, as well as Just Us Girls Challenge #581

I used the way the designer created the background as the inspiration for my background. Instead of watercolor, I did some ink blending with Distress Inks. I also used a little critter like the designer. The whole little "garden" scene form the Just Us Girls badge is what inspired my whole scene on my card.

All these images are from Hello Bluebird. I had colored them in at an earlier date and then went through my stash to find the images I wanted to use.

My sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

For my second card, I used a sketch from Pinterest and the current color scheme from The Color Throwdown Challenge.

I chose to use the colors, as well as the stripes from the photo as my inspiration.

At first I wasn't sure what I was going to use for my banners. I decided to die cut them out of white cardstock and use different colored inks. I did not have the exact shade for the last color so I used the second colored stripe combined with some brown.

I added some leaves from a Mama Elephant die set. I used a clear shimmer pen to make them a little bit shiny.

The sentiment is from the same Simon Says Stamp set as the first card.

Supplies:
Stamps: Simon Says Stamps Tiny Words, Hello Bluebird Field Mice, Strawberry Jam, Fairy Garden and Garden Friends
Ink: Salty Ocean, Squeezed Lemonade, and Twisted Citron Distress Ink, Memento Tuxedo Black, MFT Peach Bellini (retired), GKD Peach Bellini, MFT Coral Crush (retired), Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Dies: Banners-MFT (retired), Lawn Fawn Rectangles, Hello Bluebird, Mama Elephant Botanic Envelope

Well that is all from me today. Thank you for taking the time to stop by!! Have a great night!

Day 3 of the April 2021 CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Release: Introducing Big Thanks Duo

Hello everyone!! Today I am popping in with a card I created for the April 2021 CAS-ual Fridays Stamps release. I made a simple card using the new Big Thanks Duo. This new set includes the stamps and the dies together.

I started off this card by using the Swirls Stencil with blue Stickles. This was an experiment and I LOVE how it came out!!

While the white panel was drying, I stamped and die cut the "thanks" using the new Big Thanks Duo set.

I made an ombre effect on the sentiment using different colors of blue ink. I started with light blue on the "s" and used darker shades as I went down the stamp toward the "t."

I layered the stenciled panel over a blue card base and then stamped another sentiment from the Big Thanks Duo set onto the card front. I adhered the thanks using foam adhesive.

This stamp set, as well as all the other new stamp sets, are available NOW in the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Shop. Just check out the NEW section. Be sure to use my code, NORASENTME to get an extra 15% off your TOTAL order!!

While supplies last, if you spend $25, you will get a Hello Freebie set, no code needed!!! Be sure to check out the other fabulous projects on the CAS-ual Fridays Blog created by the Design Team.

Day 2 of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps April 2021 Release: Introducing Flower Duos

Hello everyone!! I hope you are enjoying your Saturday!!!

Today I am popping in with a card I created for the April 2021 CAS-Fridays release of Flower Duos. It includes the stamps and dies together!!

I started off this card by splattering some brown and pewter Distress Stain across a white card front and a tag I created with the Tag Buddies Dies. These dies are being retired and are ON SALE NOW!!! I let the tag dry and then partially blended the tag with some blue Distress Ink.  I added some purple twine to the top of the tag and adhered it using foam adhesive.

I then stamped the flowers and leaves using the new Flower Duo stamp and die set.

I used ink to watercolor the flowers and leaves. When these were dry, I adhered the botanicals over the top of the tag.

I stamped the sentiment from the same set onto a small strip of cardstock and used foam adhesive to adhere it onto my card. I then used some Nuvo Crystal Drops to create my flower centers.

This new stamp set, as well as all the other new sets are in the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp store NOW in the NEW section. Be sure to use my code, NORASENTME to get 15% off your total order, including sale items!!!

As a bonus, while supplies last, spend $25 and you will get a Hello Freebie stamp set, no code needed!!

I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Be sure to hop on over to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog to see some other beautiful cards created with this new set.

Day 1 of CAS-ual Fridays April 2021 Release: Introducing the Hello Freebie Set on Cards Using Scraps

Happy Fridays everyone!! I am so excited that the week is OVER!! It has been a looonnng week and I need a break.

Today I am popping in with two cards I created for the April 2021 CAS-ual Fridays Stamps release using the Hello Freebie stamp set (while supplies last). Who doesn't like a free stamp set? Just spend $25 in the CAS-Fridays Shop and receive a stamp set for FREE-NO CODE NEEDED!!!

For my first cards, I decided to use some scraps with the Hello Freebie.

I cut different sizes of green strips and layered it in a pattern over the front of my card.

I stamped the "hello" with WOW! Clear Embossing Ink onto a neutral pattern paper and heat embossed it with WOW! Pale Gold embossing powder.  I then fussy cut the embossed sentiment out.

I added the "hello" onto the top of a pinked circle that was die cut using the Pinked Slimline Dies and stamped with a matching sentiment from the freebie set.

My second card is simple and inspired by a book cover.

I covered a top folding, A2 card front with torn, yellow paper that I had distressed with brown ink.

I then stamped three sentiments from the Hello Freebie set with brown ink in a random fashion. I stamped the "hello" from the set the same but then covered it with Glossy Accents to give it some shine.

This was SO EASY and fun to make. I think I will be making a few more in different colors!!! Below is a peek at the Hello Freebie set.

Hop on over to CAS-ual Fridays and shop to treat yourself. You can use my code NORASENTME to get 15% off your TOTAL order and this includes sale items!!!

Some CAS-ual Fridays Coffee Tags

Happy Saturday!! I only have today and tomorrow left from my April vacation and I am sad. I tried to get everything done that I wanted to do but the best laid plans sometimes just don'w work out!!! Another eight weeks and then I am OUT FOR THE SUMMER. I will be counting the days. This school year has been tough for everyone.

Today I am on the CAS-ual Fridays Blog with a couple of tags that I created for some gift bags I sent out to my niece and nephew. They were supposed to be for Easter BUT as usual, I didn't get them out in time. The main gift was a Starbucks card so I decided to make the tags coffee themed. Below is a sneak peek from just one of them:

Please hop on over to MY POST to see photos and instructions for both of the tags I created!!!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. I hope you have a FABULOUS day!!

On the Blog at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

Happy Wednesday everyone!!

I am so happy for today because the week is almost over AND I am getting my hair dyed today. I have so much gray showing and it is driving me CRAZY. It makes me look old and I dislike that immensely! Nothing makes me feel better then getting my hair done. That makes me sound like an old lady, doesn't it? I always feel like a new woman after going to the salon.

I am popping in today with a sneak peek of the card I created for the CAS-ual Fridays Blog today.

I have been combining old and new products and this was fun to create. Please hop on over and check out my post.

I thank you for taking the time to stop by. I hope you have a FABULOUS day!!!

Happy Birthday using Die Cuts

Happy Thursday!! Just came home from the dentist. I have a Bite Splint that I have to wear at night for my teeth clenching and I broke the plastic on it biting down on it too hard. What are the chances of that? To make it worse, insurance won't cover it because it is the second one in two years I have had to get.  Ugg! All from STRESS!! Anyway, enough about my teeth!

Today I am popping in with a card I created using mostly pre-made die cuts. I am going to admit something. I have an addiction to buying ephemera...and then rarely using it. When I saw this weeks Global Design Project's Challenge #GDP284, I knew exactly what I was going to use.

The actual challenge was to CASE the Designer, Krista Fratt's card below:

The first thing that I was inspired by was the blue background color. I pulled out some Carta Bella Paper-Garden Melody-with a blue stripe and die cut it with a double stitched rectangle from Gina Marie Designs. I added the paper to a white, Neenah, top folding card base.

I then added a rick rack border die cut using an MFT die. I added a paper strip of plaid paper underneath the rick rack.

I then basically started playing with my collection Pinkfresh Studio ephemera from the Joyful Day and Indigo Hills collections. The placement of the two circles together over a label were inspired by Krista's card. The label had some writing on it so I added a flower under my birthday strip.

I then needed to balance the layout of the card so I used foam adhesive under the heart and added a flower with a "leaf," which is really a banner. My last step was to add some  red berry Nuvo Crystal Drops to accent the flowers.

I totally LOVE how this came out and it was so fun to make!! I think I am going to use a different sketch and use more ephemera for a card this weekend.

I am also going to enter this card into this weeks Watercooler Wednesday Challenge. This week it is Helen's All About Occasions Challenge.

Well, that is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!

Using Scraps on Baby Cards for Some Card Challenges

Happy Tuesday!! I am just popping in at the last minute to post some baby cards I created. I was inspired by this weeks badge from the Inspired By #166 challenge for the colors of my cards and the theme.

My first card is a top folding card. I used Lawn Fawn "Little Bundle" stamps and matching dies for the little baby clothes.

The Inspired By photo below is my inspiration:

I die cut my patchwork squares from paper scraps using the MFT Pierced Squares (retired). I knew I had to use the color scheme from the photo because it used ORANGE!!!

My die cut sentiment is from PTI-Wonderful Words Baby.

I am going to enter this into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Two or More Pattern Papers as well.

My second card is similar to my first. However, I loosely based it on the Inspired By Sketch

Here is the Inspired By sketch:

As you can see, my patchwork is not laid out like the sketch and I did not use a circle under my sentiment. Instead I made an imaginary circle sentiment block by surrounding the die cut with the little baby items. Can you see it?

I have not made baby cards in AGES and these were SO FUN to create. It was a fabulous way to use up some of my paper scraps too!!!

In other news, I am STILL moving my craft room. I cannot tell you how much stuff I still have and how much I have gotten rid of!!! I do need to get my new room in order, though, which means cleaning off shelves from my old room to haul the furniture upstairs to put all the organized crap that I have in containers all over my floor!

Part of my cleaning this weekend was getting a huge amount of scrapbook pages in actual albums. It has made miss scrapbooking and I might have to take it up again.

Well, I want to get this posted. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a GREAT night!
