Day 3 of the CAS=ual Fridays March 2021 Release

Happy Thursday!! I cannot believe the week is almost over but I am glad that it is!!

Today I am on the blog with Day 3 of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps March 2021 release. I created a card using the new Love Notes stamp set and Heart Notes die bundle.

I started off this card by stamping a white, A2, top folding card with the music from the Love Notes stamp set. I then used foam adhesive to adhere a piece of pattered cardstock over the top.

Next I die cut three music notes from cardstock using the Heart Notes bundle. I tried to use paper that matched the stripes from the background. I adhered these music notes so that they were overlapping each other.

I stamped the sentiment from the Love Notes set in green and then fussy cut it out. I adhered the sentiment to the card front using foam adhesive. My last step was to randomly adhere some jewels around the notes and I was done.

This new stamp and die set, as well as all the other products, are available in the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Store under the NEW section right now!!! Use my code NORASENTME to get 15% off your total order!!!

Be sure to comment to be entered into a random drawing of all the commenters on the designers blogs to win a prize. Hop on over to the CAS-Fridays Blog to link up to the fabulous creations created by the Design Team!!

That is all from me today. Be sure to pop back in tomorrow with the last sneak peek project from the new release!!! Have a FABULOUS day!!

Day 2 of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps March 2021 Release

Happy Wednesday. It is the middle of the week and it has been so beautiful here in the Northeast. I know it is only a tease though, as we tend to still get snow in March and April.

Today I am here with a sneak peek of the new CAS-ual Fridays Stamps release. I created two cards to showcase the new Flowerburst Stencil and the Sassy Smiles Duo stamp set.

For my first card, I chose to use just the Sassy Smiles Duo stamp and die set to make a fun, graphic card design.

This was an easy and fun card to create. I started out by stamping the SMILE sentiment from the Sassy Smiles Duo set with red ink on a white, A2 card front. I stamped over the red with some  WOW! Clear Embossing Ink and covered it with WOW! Clear Embossing Powder. I then heat embossed the SMILE to give it the shine you see on the card.

Next I stamped the sentiment over and over again, across the card front, using shades of red and teal ink.

I used the heart from the Sassy Smiles Duo set and randomly stamped it with the different teal colors in between the stamped SMILE sentiments.

I adhered the card front to a white, A2 card base and wrapped the top of the card with some teal twine. My last step was to use some red, Nuvo Crystal Drops around the embossed, red sentiment.

This was one of my FAVORITE cards I created with this release and was so simple to create!!!

On my second card, I combined the Sassy Smiles Duo set and the new Flowerburst Stencil to create a clean and simple card.

I started off the card by blending Kitsch Flamingo Distress Ink across the entire card front. I then masked off the center of the panel with a heart and shaded some more pink ink over the exposed areas. When I removed the heart, it left a slightly lighter area of pink where it had been.

My next step was to use the same Kitsch Flamingo Distress Ink and the new Flowerburst Stencil to create the pink flowers across my card front. I tried to use different pressure with my blending tools so that some of the flowers would be brighter than the others.

Inside the heart, I stamped the sentiment from the Sassy Smiles Duo set in black. I used foam adhesive to adhere the SMILE that I had heat embossed with Kitsch Flamingo Embossing Glaze and then die cut using the matching die. My last step was to use white, Nuvo Crystal Drops around the heart to give it a bit of emphasis.

This new stamp duo and stencil, as well as all the other products, are available in the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Shop under the NEW section right now!!! Use my code NORASENTME to get 15% off your total order!!!

CAS-ual Fridays March 2021 Release Day 1: Raindrops Duo and Scattered Showers Stencil

Hi everyone!! Today I am popping in for a CAS-ual Fridays Release.

I used the new Raindrops Duo-stamps and matching dies-and the Scattered Showers Stencil to create the card below.

I started off this card by using Stormy Sky Distress Ink and the new Scattered Showers Stencil to create my background on the white cardstock. I then adhered it to a blue, top folding A2 card.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Raindrops Duo with blue ink onto a blue circle. I used colored pencils to give a little bit of color to the drops in the sentiment and adhered it to the card front.

I die cut three clouds using the dies from the Raindrops Duo stamp set and shaded them with the same Stormy Sky Distress Ink that I used for the stenciling. I adhered the clouds around my sentiment using foam adhesive.

My last step was to use a clear sparkle pen and Glossy Accents over some of the random raindrops form the background, as well as the two drops in the sentiment.

This new stamp duo and stencil, as well as all the other new products, are available in the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Shop under the NEW section right now!!! Use my code NORASENTME to get 15% off your total order!!!

A Fun Weekend and Some Cards

Hi everyone!!! I hope you are having a nice Sunday. The sun is out here and I started my day off with a walk with my neighbor. The temperature is a little chilly but the sun just makes it so worth it.

I am going to share a couple cards today. I apologize to you in advance that they are all sympathy cards. I know people hate making them but I find them so peaceful to create. That is weird isn't it?

I used The Stamp Market's Ready to Bloom Card Cover Die for the white flowers. I used Nuvo Crystal Drops in Crushed Grape Gloss for the flower centers.

I stamped a sentiment from Your Next Stamp onto a die cut oval (retired MFT die) and heat embossed with Rangers Silver Tinsel Embossing Powder

I used a PTI embossing plate to emboss the paper under the flowers and combined sentiments from two different sets on the inside of the card.

I am going to enter this card into The Flower Challenge's #54: Shades of Purple and Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge: Beautiful Blossoms.

My second card I used the same basic supplies as my first card.

I changed up the sentiment and used My Favorite Things Deepest Sympathy Stamps and heat embossed with WOW! white embossing powder. I stamped this on a Pinkfresh Studio's Braided Oval that I die cut from purple cardstock.

I used yellow Nuvo Crystal Drops in Dandelion Yellow for the flower centers.

Again, I used the same sentiment stamps for the inside of my card but added a die cut rick rack to hide an ink spot. I was not going to throw it away!!

I am entering this card into The Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #310, All About Occasions and The Paper Players Challenge #531: Spring is in the Air.

My next card is a card I made for someone who lost her baby recently. I was not able to go to the wake as I was not feeling well but I wanted to make sure that she knew how much I cared.

I used Spun Sugar Distress Ink to blend behind the Hero Arts Angel Wings

I used foam adhesive to layer the heart over the wings and added some Prima flowers that I have had FOREVER over the heart. I created leaves using the small flower from CAS-ual Fridays 4 Petals Die

The heat embossed sentiment strip is from Taylored Expressions.

Some fun things to blog about after my sympathy cards is that I went to a "Zoom" birthday party last night. They hired a virtual mixologist and we made drinks.

Before the party we had a shopping list for things to buy. We are not heavy drinkers so we had a lot to purchase!!! It was a lot of fun and a different idea to make everyone interact virtually.

I also received some purchases this week. I had sold some stuff on Ebay last year and bought myself a 72 ink pad storage from Organize More

I had ordered it a while ago and of course it came when Chris was home alone. I hate when that happens!! I just need to reconfigure my desk so I can put my ink pads in it. I am so excited!!!

I also received an order from Simon Says Stamp. I am a little mad at myself for this one. I am supposed to be on a spending freeze but it IS NOT GOING WELL!!!

A couple things are missing from this photo too that I forgot to put in there.

Well, that is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS night.

Day 2 of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps-Introducing the Salty and Margarita Glass Die!

 Happy New Year!!!

Today I am popping in with two cards created with the new Salty stamp set and Margarita Glass die from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. This is my favorite set from the new release as I am VERY PARTIAL to margaritas!!!

For my first card, I created a very simple card using the Salty stamp set.

I started this card by partially stamping the margarita glass from the Salty stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto the left side of an A2 sized, white piece of cardstock. I then stamped the sentiment using the same black ink onto the bottom right. I used Copic Markers to color the margarita in. I added some accents to the glass using a white gel pen and Diamond Stickles into the salt crystals.

I then cut the panel down and adhered it to an A2 card front that had some scraps of pattern paper that matched the color of the margarita.

This card was really simple but I LOVE how it came out. Below is a peek at the new stamp and die set.

For my next card, I did a bit of paper piecing.

I started off by using the new Chunky Chevron stencil (being introduced tomorrow) with some kraft ink onto a kraft A2 card front. I then stamped the black sentiment using the Salty stamp it onto the front of the card.

I set this aside and stamped the margarita glass from the Salty stamp set onto a scrap piece of watermelon colored pattern paper, some white cardstock and two pieces of green. I used the new Margarita Glass die to cut out the salt, the glass and the pink for the margarita.

I fussy cut the lime out of the two colors of green and then adhered all the pieces together and then adhered the glass to the card front.

To complete this card, I added some Diamond Stickles on the salt crystals and some Nuvo Crystal Jewel Drops in lime green.
