Using the SImon Says Stamp! August 2026 Kit for Some Card Challenges

Hello Crafty Friends!

I am popping in with some cards I created first for an IG Hop using Simon Says Stamp! products. We were supposed to use last years Stamptember products BUT I didn't read the fine print and created cards using my SSS August 2026 Made to Flourish kit, and some "extras" that were on my desk.

My first card I used the Brightest Bloom embossing folder to emboss on a piece of watercolor cardstock that was included in the kit.

I used the three Distress Crayons in the kit (mine came in with worn lipstick, mowed lawn and fossilized amber) along with stormy sky, dried marigold and festive berry to watercolor on the embossed image.

I distressed the edges, adhered it to an A2, white card base and used a sentiment from the Made to Flourish stamp set..

I am entering this card into this round of the All Sorts Challenge #856-heat or dry embossing.

My next card I stamped around two sides of a white piece of A2 cardstock with the flowers from the SSS Made to Flourish stamp set. I then used Copic markers to color the images in.

Next I ink blended Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the entire card front. I also took some brown ink and water and splashed it across the front.

I distressed the edges and added Ranger Gilded Foundry Wax (not found in the kit) along all four sides.

I added piece of old book paper from a previous kit, some vellum from my scrap box, some jute and a stamped sentiment 3/4 of the way down the card front. To finish the card, I adhered it to a top folding, red A2 card front.

I am entering this card in this round of Inkspirational Challenge #374.

On my third card I crumpled a piece of old book paper, smoothed it out, blended and dragged Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the top to create the background.

I adhered it to a kraft, A2, top folding card base. I then used two of the Craft Consortium Flowers ephemera, popping one up with foam adhesive.

I tied a piece of jute around the front, added a sentiment and some gems. Can you tell I am kind of obsessed with distressing the card edges or backgrounds? It became a theme in this set of cards.

I am entering in the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge #44-Anything Goes Floral.

For my last card, I did a bunch of different techniques. I first used a Worn Lipstick and Stormy Sky Distress crayons to ink smoosh color onto a piece of white water color paper. I embossed it with a burlap background and used Vintage Photo Distress ink to blend ink across the front.

I added a scrap of book print to the left side, distressed the edges of the background and adhered it to a white, A2 card front.

I took a scrap oval frame, added a jute bow and adhered it to the card front.

I used my Distress Crayons to color directly onto my stamps, sprayed some water over the top and stamped my images onto white water color paper. I used the water brush in the kit to blend in the flowers. When the stamped image was dry, I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink to blend over the top.

I adhered the vase of flowers in the middle of the circle with foam adhesive. The sentiment was stamped a pink that matched my flowers, die cut out and adhered to the card front.

These cards took SO LONG to make. I am such a SLOW card maker but it was fun to use this kit, some supplies that I have accumulated and never used, like the foundry wax, and scraps from my desk. It was a successful creative session that left me feeling fabulous.

That is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

I had fun using the new Balloon Critters stamp set to create my card. I had fun using this set to create my little floating dog. I colored my image in with Copic Markers and added some white gel pen accents.

I layered my little balloon dog over am ombre circle and the SSS Dot Spiral embossing folder from a previous release.

I added an adorable sentiment from the Balloon Critters set and added some Moonflower Embellishment Mix for a festive look.

Thank You Cards-Teacher Appreciation Day!

Hey Friends!

I am popping in with three cards I created this weekend for three teachers I work with in honor of Teacher Appreciation Day. I bought little these adorable little hydrangea flowers and matched the colors for each of my cards.

I used Simon Says Stamp Flower Frame Embossing Folder and Simon Says Stamp THANKS Wafer Die for all my cards. I also used Diamond Stickles on all the flower centers on the embossed flowers, as well as some Clear Sparkle Pen on my sentiments.

I used Simon Says Stamp! Ink for all of my cards. I am slowly building up my collection.

I am entering this card into this weeks Tic Tac Toe Challenge #291. I used the center down-die cut, embossing, and layers. The card front is over the card base, that is a layer, right? I could have entered it into the top line too.

My second card is a pink version of the above card.

The inks I used for this card are Simon Says Stamp! Bubble Gum and Sweet Dye Ink. I even inked up the sentiment that is in the middle of the dark pink to match the background.

I am adding this to the following challenges-As You See It Challenge #371, The Beautiful Blossoms Challenge #40-Moodboard or anything goes and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge-Mother's Day Feminine.

My last card is more of a shell pink color. It was the first card I created and the Thanks is not perfectly straight.

I have to say that this one is my favorite!! I used Simon Says Stamp! Shell and Salmon Ink.

I am entering this card in this weeks The Paper Player Challenge #784. It is a mood board and feminine theme. I was inspired by the pinky flowers.

Well, that is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS week!!

A Tea-rrific Birthday

Hello my Friends!!

Today I am popping in with a card I created for some challenges. I had fun using Simon Says Stamp Best-Teas and the sentiment is from the SSS Tea-rrific Birthday set.

The layout was inspired by this week's Freshly Made Sketches #732, Seize the Birthday Challenge #324-Anything Goes and this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge-Bright and Cheerful.

I used Copic Markers to color in all my stamped images. The pattern paper was in my stash, border and all.

The white panel was embossed with the Linen embossing folder by Spellbinders.

I LOVE how this card came out and had so much fun putting it together.

That is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Have a fabulous Sunday!!

Some Cards for Challenges

Hey Crafty Friends!!!

It is a snow day in my world. I am popping in with a some cards for some challenges. I had fun creating with some of my Spellbinder's Club Dies. I used my November and December 2025 Small Die of the Month for my cards.

For my first card, I used this week's Freshly Made Sketches #720 as my inspiration for the layout of my card. I am also entering this into Just Us Girls Challenge#807-Stencil Week.

I had fun using two stencils on this card. I used a Taylor Expressions rectangle stencil with Candied Apple and Lumberjack Plaid Distress Ink. I then used a heart stencil by Pretty Pink Posh over the red to make my hearts.

I then watered down some Gold Crush Lunar Paste and a paint brush to splatter my card. It didn't work as well as I wanted but that's okay.

I layered two circles and then my die cut images from November's Let's Do Brunch dies set from Spellbinders. I LOVE how this came out and had SO MUCH FUN making this. I so needed this after Saturday.

For my next card, I used a couple more challenges for inspiration. I used Time Out Challenges #305-Favorite Technique as the initial inspiration. My favorite technique is using die cuts on a card. I am also going to enter this card into Simon Says Stamp's Monday Challenge-Have a Heart.

I used the December Small Die of the Month from Spellbinders-Better Together-for my card.

I die cut my owls out of white cardstock and shaded the pieces in with Lost Shadow Distress Ink.

The hearts were die cut from a pinky/purple cardstock and then shaded in with a purple ink from an old WPlus9 ink pad. I miss that company!! I layered my little owls over scraps of pattern paper.

The sentiment is from an old MFT More Essential Sentiments stamp set. I miss this company too!!

My last card is another card that I created for this month's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge. Challenge #633 is to use the colors GRAPE, FIG and BEIGE on a card.

I used a die from Spellbinder's Advent Calendar 2025 for my card.

Isn't that little dog so cute? I am giving this card to my daughter. She is a dog lover and I know she will enjoy this card.

It is hard to tell but my dog is beige. I used an old We R Memory Keeper's embossing folder for my background and then splattered it with ink.

I am going to be honest with you, these colors were HARD for me to use. I am not a fan of that fig color. It is a bit more orange colored in the challenge badge BUT I didn't have any ink or cardstock that was that color so I used what I had.

Well, I want to enter my cards into the challenges because before they close. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!!
