A CAS-ual Fridays Card for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello everyone!! Popping in on this Friday with a card I created for the Spring/Summer Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop. I used CAS-ual Fridays Stay Strong stamp set, By the Beans stencil and Coffee Cup Fri-dies

I started off my card by blending Peeled Paint Distress Oxide onto an A2 piece of kraft cardstock. I then stenciled the coffee beans over the front using Ground Espresso Oxide Ink.

I flicked some Old Paper Distress Oxide and sprayed some Walnut Stain Distress Stain over the top of my card. When that dried, I stamped the sentiment from the CAS-Fridays Stay Strong stamps on the top left using MFT Hot Fudge ink. Next I adhered the panel over an A2, cream colored card.

I die cut the coffee cup out of a scrap of vanilla cardstock and some pattern paper. I inked around the edge of the coffee cup with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I used Ground Espresso Oxide for the "coffee" in my cup. I adhered my coffee cup to the card with foam adhesive

My last step to my card was to use Glossy Accents over the top of some of my sentiment and the "coffee" in my cup.

I love how this came out!! It is a bit on the "grungy" side but it was so fun to make. I am enjoying just inking up stuff and seeing what comes out!

Again, this was a card I created for The Spring/Summer Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop and CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

Happy World Cardmaking Day!!

Hi everyone!! I am celebrating World Cardmaking Day with CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

Are you making cards today? I know I am!! I cleaned up my room so that I had room to make some cards!!!

One of the things I am doing is using products and trying techniques that I rarely use.

I actually blended Distress Oxide inks on RED paper for the background, using reds, corals, greens and yellows. I wanted to try to use the inks on colored cardstock and see what happened. It did NOT come out as I thought it would but it was fun to try.

I then used the Curtis Stencil and a combination of Fossilized Amber and Lucky Clover Distress Ink over the blended background.

The flowers are from Pretty Posies that I colored in with Copic markers.

The finishing touches were done using a Nuvo Clear Gloss Pen, some Glossy Accents and Nuvo Crystal Drops in Blushing Red.

Hop on over to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog for some more fun with the Design Team and to enter to win some prizes!!! I hope you join our Linky Party!!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by!!! Have a FABULOUS day!!

Happy Mother's Day and a card for Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

Happy Mother's Day!! I hope everyone has had a fabulous day!!

Mine was low key. Charlotte had to work and I played in my craft room. Char did write me the most BEAUTIFUL note tucked into a new water bottle. It was the best gift ever.

I will admit something here, though. I HATE Mother's Day. It isn't because I am not treated well but because I don't have my mother to celebrate with anymore. I am thankful that I had her for the length of time I did but I miss her more around this time of year.

Today I am going to share a card I created for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #387. It was such a FUN sketch this week and I am so glad I had time to play!!

I blended oxide ink onto Bristol cardstock in Abandon Coral for my card background. I then die cut it with an MFT Blueprints die. I mounted it onto a coral cardstock base and then added some embellishments that were in my stash.

The flower elements were die cut using various flower dies, like Altnew, Spellbinders and MFT.

The sketch below is what inspired my card.

Another card that I created last weekend I created to use the free little stamp set that Altenew sent me a couple weeks ago.

I did fix the Nuvo drops that I used around the edge of the card. The sentiment is from Penny Black.

I love these snarky sentiments and wish I had the images to go along with them. I need to do some research!!

I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by tonight!! Have a FABULOUS night!!
