Happy Birthday 10th CraftyScrappers!

 Hello friends!!

I am just popping in today with a card I created in celebration of CraftyScrappers 10th Birthday. I am on the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Design Team and this shop has generously sponsored many of our challenges. Below is the card that I made for this milestone.

I used the CraftyScrappers Limited Addition Birthday Stamp for my project. 

This stamp will be the prize for this weeks Cupcake Inspiration Challenge that starts tomorrow. 

To create my card, I printed the stamp out on kraft cardstock. I didn't print it out in solid black but I lightened it up because I wanted to do a combination of Copic coloring and colored pencils.

I love the tooth that kraft cardstock has over just coloring on smooth, white paper. Copics soak in so you have to have a light touch but they do blend together!!! I used colored pencil in a heavy handed way over some areas and just highlighted in others.

I love the little "fur" strokes that the pencil creates over Copics!!!

Just a Reminder for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #565

Hello friends!! 

Today I am popping in with a reminder that there is still time to join Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #565. It is all about the colors black and white!!!

I created a VERY graphic birthday card combining dies from Simon Says Stamps and Spellbinders.

The sub sentiment is from My Favorite Things "Birthday Chicks" (retired) stamp set. I LOVE how this card came out!!! I am definatly going to make some in different colors!!

It is very rare that I create a card without some sort of color. The gems look like they are colored but they really are not.

A New Challenge at Cupcake Inspirations Challenges

Hello friends!! I hope this post finds you well.

Today I am popping in with a card for this weeks Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #565. For the next two weeks the challenge is a color challenge. Create a card using the colors black and white.

I knew when I saw this that I wanted to create a sympathy card. I used the Altenew *"Paint a Flower: Sweet Pea Outline" stamp set for this simple card. 

This stamp set is part of Altenew's *Paint a Flower Subscription. Every month a different flower is sent to you. I have been doing this for a couple years now and have a great variety of flower stamps. Now I need to use them!!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #564 REMINDER

The image I used is once again from our sponsor for this challenge-Pixel Paper Prints!!!

 She generously donated the "Busy Bee's" Digital Stamp Set for us to use for the next two weeks!

I used Copic Markers to color in my flowers, the bee hive and that cute little bee. I then did some shading with Distress Inks for the background.

To complete my card, I die cut the panel and mounted it onto an A2, polka dot card.

For the next two weeks, Cupcake Inspirations Challenge is all about BEES!

I had a TON of fun coloring in this card!! The sentiment was my creation that I printed right on to the front when I printed my images.

Since this set was so MASSIVE, I have a bonus card for you too! I made a birthday card using some of the bees from the "Busy Bee" set.

I used Copic Markers to color in my bees and a stencil for the background. The sentiment looks a bit off in this photo but it is not IRL.
