CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Release-Day 1

Happy Sunday everyone!! I hope you are having a FABULOUS weekend!!!

Today is the start of a new CAS-ual Fridays Stamps October 2019 release party!!! Today the Design Team and I are showcasing two new stamp sets-Angels Hugs and Flower Angel.

For my first project, I mixed an old CAS-ual Fridays Stamp stamp set and the new Angels Hugs stamp set for my card.

I started off by stamping the sentiment from the new Angels Hugs stamp set onto a white, A2 card front in Versamark ink and heat embossing it using silver embossing powder. I then did the same using the leaves from the Peaceful Garden stamp set.

Next I die cut some leaves from white scraps using the Garden Fri-dies and adhered these leaves over the silver.

I stamped and embossed the angels on a square scrap of white cardstock and adhered the stamped square in the middle of the card, over the embossed and die cut leaves.

My last step was to use foam adhesive to adhere a silver, dry embossed frame.

My second card showcases the new Flower Angel stamp set.

I stamped the angel in black dye ink and used Copic Markers to color her in.

I masked the angel off and created a home made stencil to create my clouds. I adhered this panel onto a white, A2 card front, over a piece of aqua cardstock that matched the cloud color.

I heat embossed the sentiment in white on a strip of aqua cardstock and used foam adhesive to adhere it onto my card front.

For my last steps, I used Diamond Stickles on the angel wings and Bright Gold Nuvo Crystal Drops in the middle of the flowers in her hair and in random flower centers on her dress.

All new stamp sets are available in the NEW section of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps store RIGHT NOW. Use my code NORASENTME for 15% off your total order!!!

I thank you for taking the time to stop by today. I will be back again tomorrow with another project showcasing another stamp set from the new release!!

Have a wonderful day!!

A Christmas Card

Hi everyone!!

Just a quick pop in with a Christmas card I created this weekend. I was going to post it yesterday but just was too tired to be on the computer.

I used Hello Bluebird snowman from the "Frosty Friends" stamp set that I colored in with Copic markers as my main image. I have had these snowmen since last year but never inked them up.

I used CASE this Sketch #344 as my main inspiration for this card, as well as Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies Challenge.  The sketch had me a bit flummoxed this time but I figured it out. Instead of the hexagon I used a snowflake!

I had so much fun going through my plethora of snowflake dies and cutting them out to use on cards. I actually have quite a few dies and there are a bunch more that I have on my wish list!!

Notice the pink on the snowflakes? Apparently my inked background was not dry all the way and I picked it up with the Nuvo Clear Shimmer Pen I used over the snowflakes!! It makes me mad but don't think it looks horrible, do you?

I had a lot of fun making this card and am thankful that my mojo came back to me this weekend!!!

On a different note, I have been doing a fun thing for my daughter the last couple days. She has been super stressed with midterms and school work so I took the trio of cats that were her FAVORITE stuffed animals and took photos the last two days to send before I left for work. I then text them for her to see when she woke up. Oh, and by the way, as you can see, they are in NO WAY professionally done!!

This one I took yesterday in my basement before I steamed the shirt I chose to wear.

Today I got the dog involved. He doesn't look too happy does he????

Well, that is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a GREAT day!!

Happy Sunday!!

Hey everyone!! Happy Sunday night!!

Just popping in with a quick post to get in a card I created for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #407 and a bunch of other challenges listed at the end. I am right on the edge and since I love how this came out I had to get it posted!!!

I created a background using Distress Inks. I then used a tooth brush and watered down white acrylic paint to spritz white over the top.

The snowman is from Hello Bluebird's "Frosty Littles" Stamp set. I colored him in using Copic Markers and then added little touches on using Diamond Stickles and Nuvo Crystal Drops in Berry Blue.

The sentiment is from Hello Bluebird's "Typed Christmas" stamp set.

The snowflakes are from the hoard of dies that I have. They were in a pile and don't have a clue who makes what without going through everything and it is too late for that!!!

I have had NO MOJO as of late so making this card is so exciting for me!!! I love how this background came out and even made a different one to match but too late to post so will do it tomorrow.

I am entering this card in Freshly Made Sketches #407, Just Us Girls Challenges #510: Color Week-using the colors Navy, Purple and Green,  Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies, Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge: Anything Goes Optional Twinkle, and Addicted to Stamps: Holiday.

That is all from me tonight. I hope you all have a great start to your week!!!

More World Cardmaking Day Cards!

Happy Monday!! I am here with some more cards I created on World Cardmaking Day. I so wanted to create more than I was able to. I am such a slow card maker!!

For my first card, I used CASE this Sketch #342 as my inspiration.

This was a hard sketch for me for some reason. That huge circle/strip element threw me for a loop!!

I think I successfully solved it by using the leaves and the flower.

The leaves are from a Paper Smooches die, the flowers are MFT and the border is Pink Fresh Studios.

The sentiment is also from MFT but not totally sure. It was a scrap on my desk!!! The striped paper is from my scrap pile. LOVE how this card came out and it is so much prettier IRL.

My next two cards I did were using an ink blending technique and my Stamptember Hero Arts stamp set that I HAD TO HAVE.

Let me tell you the white flowers were a total accident. They were supposed to be black BUT I picked up white embossing powder rather than the clear I thought I did.

Don't care, though, because I LOVE how this card came out!! Used four different blue Distress Inks on this and paired them with a hello die cut from MFT and a Taylored Expressions sentiment.

I think I am in love with solid stamps again and will be using the ones I have in my stash!!!

My second card the silhouette was done in black, like the first one SHOULD have been.

I originally was going to use this for a color challenge card BUT the fourth color that I was supposed to use I just could not do. Instead, I swapped it out for the orange at the bottom. The purples were not Distress Inks and so did not get water spots like I wanted them to.

I had to do a little acrylic splattering on the card front using watered down white paint and a toothbrush to get the messy look I wanted.

The thing that enchanted me about these cards are how quick they came together. I think I am going to stamp a bunch of backgrounds at once and then do some fun blending. I see this as a future card set.

I stacked the WPlus9 hugs sentiment-the bottom being cut from a black piece of card stock-then layering a doubled orange over it, off setting it enough so it looks like a "shadow." I then covered it in Nuvo Sparkle Pen and Glossy Accents.

Well peeps, that is it for me today. I have one more card I created BUT have not photographed it yet. Was just too lazy today to do so. Will blog it later on this week.

I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS Monday!!

Happy Sunday!!

Hey everyone!! Happy Sunday!! I hope you all had a FABULOUS weekend.

Mine started with Happy Hour on Sunday to say goodbye to a co-worker and ending with a gray day. I spent the nice day of the weekend making cards for National Cardmaking Day!!

Did any of you take the time to indulge? I actually told my husband that I set the WHOLE day aside to do so and I did!!! (With the exception of working out in the morning, giving my dog a bath and doing multiple loads of laundry to get a break from sitting!!)

Anyway, I am going to post some of what I was able to create-all using various challenges or were a result of technique videos I had playing in the background all day yesterday.

My first card I created for Freshly Made Sketches #405.

This sketch gave me a headache, I have to admit. What to put in these three squares was killing me.

Then I had an aha moment, looking down at three white squares on my desk AND the colored flowers that I had done in front of the television this week. (I have started coloring again when I watch TV. Anyone else do this to keep you from snacking? It works!!)

I had cut these flowers from the frame they belong in to use the frame. Did you think I made that card yet? Nope but the flowers were perfect for my idea!!!

I am also entering this into this weeks Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #241. This week it was Dawn's Challenge and it was a feminine "anything goes," as well as the Flower Challenge #37-CAS.

For my second card, I used the Fab Friday Sketch #173 as my jumping off point, as well as the photo from this weeks "Inspired By" Challenge-Truckload of Fall

I was so excited because I got to pull out my Reverse Confetti "Thankful Heart" stamp and die set purchase that I made last week.

I chose to color in the pumpkin a more muted orange/yellow like some I have seen on the farms around here. I love the alternate color pumpkins!!

I love that I was able to layer the flower pieces to give the card dimension. The tiny flowers peeking out from the large spray are the little "tags" that peeked out from under the circle on the sketch. The pumpkin I used in lieu of a circle.

The background was inspired by the truck, which I mistakenly thought was one of those wood ones. When I went to look at the photo close up, I realized it was NOT. Oh well.

My third card I am posting today is from a sketch challenge at Scrapbook.com Sketch Challenge from the forum.

It was a Mojo Monday sketch.

The stamped leaf is from Altenew and the sentiment is a mixture from Neat and Tangled, Newtons Nook and Memory Box.

I had the leaf embossed panel on my desk and decided it would be perfect for this card. The little flower die cut was just a scrap I had in one of my "extra" piles.

This card is NO MEANS my favorite BUT it I used a ton of stuff that was previously not used.

Well, that is all from me today. I will be back tomorrow with the rest of my cards from yesterday!!!

I thank you for stopping by. Have a FABULOUS night!!!
