Time for a New Challenge at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge

Happy Monday everyone!!

I am rested up and back to work after a nice week off. The weather was so nice and we were able to get some things done in the yard.

Today I am popping in with a card that I created for this weeks Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #542.

This week at Cupcake Inspirations, it was a color challenge. I had to use Lime Green, Yellow and Orchid on my card. This was a challenge as I had to do some color tests to get the shade of pink I wanted.

The images that I colored for my card are Digital Images from this weeks sponsor, Varada Sharma

Aren't they lovely? Hop on over to check out Varada Sharma's Shop. She has some BEAUTIFUL digital stamps in her store!!!

That is all from me today. Please check out the challenge and the other designers cards at Cupcake Inspiration Challenges #542 post. I hope you decide to play. I love to see what others create!!!

Popping in With Some Cards

(Disclaimer: This post has some affiliate links at no extra cost to you.)

Happy Sunday!! Just popping in with some cards I created this weekend with some cards I created using some challenges.

My first card I created for Freshly Made Sketches #491.

I have been trying to have my own internal challenge to use some of the supplies I have. I have SO MUCH pattern paper that I decided the sketch was perfect to use some up. Below is the sketch that inspired my card.

I also have some stickers that I needed to use. Do you ever used stickers on your cards? I decided when I created some of my cards that I would add them to some of my cards.

I used paper from a 12" by 12" paper pad I bought from Michael's. The little frame was even fussy cut from a piece.

The watering can is a Carta Bella element sticker sheet from the Flower Market collection. The yellow flower is from Carta Bell's Spring Market element stickers.

The watering can had light polka dots that I decided to emphasize by adding some White Nuvo Crystal Drops. The sentiment was from my stash that is stamped and die cut. I am not sure who created it.

For my second card, I created a card for a CAS Colours and Sketches Challenge #425.

I had so much fun making this card!! Again, I used a combination of stickers from the same sticker sheets. The pattern paper used is from 49 and Market Vintage Artistry Vintage Sage paper collection.

The sentiment is from My Favorite Things Bitty Birthday Wishes sentiment set. The greenery was die cut using Altenew Branches and Berries dies that were die cut from Neenah Solar White cardstock and shaded with two shades of Distress Ink-Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness.

I die cut the circles using a retired Shaker Die from My Favorite Things and a Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle die for the background paper.

I am so in love with how this card came out!! I am not sure it is up to a CAS design because I used pattern paper but it is a card that I have in my stash. I am notorious for not getting birthday cards out in time. My daughter makes fun of me for this. A card maker who forgets to send out cards.

On another note, I have been having a FABULOUS summer. I am trying to go on a few "adventures" a couple times a week. This past week I went walking with a friend, out to lunch and then to a fun antique store. I love old things and the younger generation does not appreciate them as much as my generation does.

Well that is all from me tonight. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS night!

Multiple Monday

Happy Monday everyone!!

I had done a post like this two weeks ago and I want to make this a new "thing." I was originally going to post a video for the batch I made this week but looking at the footage I took, it wasn't so hot. The desk shook a lot and I just decided that it wasn't good enough for people to see. That doesn't mean the cards didn't come out, though!!

I have to admit that I had A LOT of fun making these cards. As a rule, I do not do multiples of cards. I find it boring. However, during this time of being isolated, it has actually been kind of fun.

Here is the first card that I created for this "series." I started off by stamping my butterfly, heat embossing it in gold and then using Zig Clean Markers to paint it in. I then fussy cut it out.

I actually painted all the butterflies first and then picked the colors of ink I would use to stamp my background from there. I used Pinkfresh Studios "Dainty Blossoms" dies for the white flower/leaf die under my butterfly and the tag is Reverse Confetti's "Grid Stitched Tag."

I then repeated this design using purple for the background and butterfly, as well as changing up the tag to Reverse Confetti's "See Through Tag." The sentiment was in my stash.

I used some DMC Floss in white at the top and some sequins from Cartwright.

I created the card in pink...

in Jelly Bean green...

and in mint green. I thought all these came out really pretty.

I had a couple butterflies left over so I decided to use some pattern paper scraps for the last two cards I created. I actually think I might like these cards the best!!! The white tags pop off the paper better than the stamped backgrounds.

I wish I had only done the leaf die cut behind the butterfly on all of the cards.

I think it looks classier. I also stamped right on the tag, unlike the first five cards.

Here is another purple card. I like the colors with this background.

I am entering these cards into Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #391-Anything Goes and Watercooler Wednesday Card Challenge #273-Marsha's Challenge-All About Occasions.

Well, that is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

A Couple of Valentine's

Happy Thursday everyone!! Just popping in to post a couple of cards I created yesterday. I am kind of on a roll with creating Valentine's cards as I have received a few orders from some companies as of late. I went from having no stamps for Valentine's day to having a ton!!

My first card was inspired by the new Freshly Made Sketches #419.

Below is the sketch I used for my inspiration.

The splattered paper in the back was not supposed to be for this card BUT the card I created it for needed something different so I decided to use it for this card.

The sentiments are from Altenew's "Circle Sentiments," Hero Arts Kit of the Month, and the Ink Blot Shop's Sentiment Label Blocks. The hearts are stickers from Elle's Studio.

I like the layering of the sentiments, though that is NOT what I had in mind in the first place.

My second card was inspired by the Paper Craft Crew's Challenge #367 Inspiration photo. I was inspired by the red of the flowers and the glasses.

Instead of wine glasses, I used champagne glasses on my card.

I am attempting to use more pattern paper on my cards as I have a mountain of it to use up. I decided to use some from Pebbles "Be Mine" 6" by 6" paper pad on this card.

The sentiment is from MFT's new "Little Love Notes" stamp set and the champagne glasses are from Reverse Confetti's "Cake and Champagne" stamp set. I adore this Cake and Champagne set and have a couple cards coming up that I will be posting.

I added clear sequins with little dots of Diamond Stickles to mimic champagne "bubbles" on and above the glasses. The heart is one that was from my stash.

On another note, remember that glass fusing class I took? My friend picked up my piece for me and I really like how it came out!!!

I want to learn how to use this to make jewelry now. It was so fun to do!!!

I thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Have a FABULOUS afternoon!!

A Christmas Card

Hi everyone!!

Just a quick pop in with a Christmas card I created this weekend. I was going to post it yesterday but just was too tired to be on the computer.

I used Hello Bluebird snowman from the "Frosty Friends" stamp set that I colored in with Copic markers as my main image. I have had these snowmen since last year but never inked them up.

I used CASE this Sketch #344 as my main inspiration for this card, as well as Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies Challenge.  The sketch had me a bit flummoxed this time but I figured it out. Instead of the hexagon I used a snowflake!

I had so much fun going through my plethora of snowflake dies and cutting them out to use on cards. I actually have quite a few dies and there are a bunch more that I have on my wish list!!

Notice the pink on the snowflakes? Apparently my inked background was not dry all the way and I picked it up with the Nuvo Clear Shimmer Pen I used over the snowflakes!! It makes me mad but don't think it looks horrible, do you?

I had a lot of fun making this card and am thankful that my mojo came back to me this weekend!!!

On a different note, I have been doing a fun thing for my daughter the last couple days. She has been super stressed with midterms and school work so I took the trio of cats that were her FAVORITE stuffed animals and took photos the last two days to send before I left for work. I then text them for her to see when she woke up. Oh, and by the way, as you can see, they are in NO WAY professionally done!!

This one I took yesterday in my basement before I steamed the shirt I chose to wear.

Today I got the dog involved. He doesn't look too happy does he????

Well, that is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a GREAT day!!
