Another Snowman Card

(Some links in the post are Affiliate Links used at no extra cost to you.)

Hello Crafty Friends!!!

Happy Sunday! I am popping in with another card for some challenges.

The challenges that inspired this card are The Sketch n' Scrap Challenge and I used the sketch #238 for my card. I also was inspired by The Color Throwdown #839 and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge-Stitch it.

The "stitches" are created using a Spellbinders Winter Borders die set. I used the colors in a lighter shade of aqua on my card instead of the dark color.

The pattern paper is Penny Black's Festive & Frosty Pad. The embossed background I created using Spellbinders Seaside Cardstock and a Simon Says Stamp! Snowflake Visions embossing folder. I then brushed some Hero Arts Unicorn White Ink over the top.

The snowman is the Village Snowman die from Simon Says Stamp. The polka dot pattern paper is from my stash and I die cut it using a Pinkfresh Studio die set.

That is all from me. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

Let It Snow Card

 Hey Friends!!

Just popping in with a card that I created for a couple of challenges. This is my last weekend of freedom as school starts this week and I have to start on Monday. I don't want to go back to work!!! I enjoyed my time off this summer not doing much-including all the cleaning I planned to do.

My card was inspired by TWO challenges. I had to play with this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #700. Can you believe they have been around for FOURTEEN years? I love sketches and am so happy that they are still posting new ones after all this time. I did not want to create a square card so I decided to make an A2 size. My snowman replaces the center square.

The other challenge that inspired me was this weeks  The Color Throwdown #839.

I dug through my stash and pulled out some things that I never used. I dug out the Simon Says Stamp Village Snowman dies for my central image.

The embossed background I created using Seaside Cardstock from Spellbinders and the Snowflake Visions Embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp. I then used some Hero Arts Unicorn Ink and Pinkfresh Studio  Aquamarine over the top with a light hand. Before I adhered the panel to a white card base, I distressed the edges.

The squares were die cut from paper scraps. I added some snowflakes from my stash. I am ADDICTED to snowflake dies and I probably have about 15 different sets. Some contain multiple types of snowflakes in style and size, and others only contain one snowflake die. Are anyone else obsessed with snowflake dies?

My sentiment is from the Christmas 2023 Tim Holtz Sticker Set. I added it using foam adhesive. The last thing I did was add Deco Art Snow-Tex to my snowman. I LOVE how this came out!!

That is all from me. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

There is Still Time to Play with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #624

Hello Friends!

Today I am popping in with a card to remind you that there is still time to play with this round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #624 is a THEME CHALLENGE-SCHOOL DAYS.

There is a sponsor for this round-Kate Hadfield Designs. This shop generously donated the digi stamps BIG SCHOOL to the Design Team for our cards.

Below is the Challenge Badge for Cupcake Inspirations Challeng #624:

Like my ruler card from last week, I layered the pencil image over and over in a row. I then colored the pencils in with Copic Markers in rainbow order.

I adhered the panel to a red, A2 card front. I then glued a strip of red gingham pattern paper 1/4" way down from the top of the white panel and added a die cut sentiment from the Spellbinder's Every Day Sentiment Set.

My last step was to add some Glossy Accents to the pencil erasers and the circles on the “metal” part and this card was done.

A Fun Card for a Challenge

 Hey Crafty Friends!

I am popping in with a card for a few challenges. I used the Summer Porch Collection from 49 and Market for this card.

I am entering my card in to the following Challenges:

Freshly Made Sketches #699

Just Add Ink #764-Pastel Blue and Pattern Paper

All Sorts Challenge #830-B is for BOAT and BLUE

I had SO MUCH FUN creating this card. The star paper was on my desk all die cut with scallops and I knew I wanted to use this on my card. It matched PERFECTLY with the elements I wanted to use from my newer products.

I then die cut a circle frame three times using an old MFT die. I then glued all three of these frames together. I then die cut a circle out of a piece of pattern paper from the Summer Porch Collection Pack from 49 and Market that was slightly larger than the circle from the frame. I adhered the circle behind the white frame and glued it onto my card.

I added some die cut ephemera using the Summer Porch Laser Cuts. My favorite it the net behind the boat!!!

The sentiment is from Altenew. I stamped it using some Simon Says Stamp Soft Navy.

Well that is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

A NEW Challenge-Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #624

Hello Crafty Friends!!!

Today I am popping in with a card for the NEW round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #624 is a THEME challenge. Create a project using the theme-SCHOOL DAYS. I actually created TWO for this week because I had so much fun making my cards!

There is a sponsor for this round-Kate Hadfield Designs. This shop generously donated the digi stamps BIG SCHOOL to the Design Team for our cards.

For my first card I layered the ruler images from the digital stamp set, printed the card front out and colored them in with Copic Markers. (The sentiment I generated using the font from my computer) I chose to do a rainbow color scheme because I knew that the colors would go together.

I cut the panel down and layered it over a red, A2 card that had some red gingham pattern paper on it. I added gems around the sentiment because it was a lot of white space.

For my second card, I grouped a bunch of school supplies together, printed them out and die cut the images into a circle. I colored the images in with Copic Markers.

I layered the circle over a kraft, A2 card base that I had adhered strips of cardstock that matched the colors from the images.

My last step was to add some white gems around the sentiment. These cards were SO FUN to create!!
