There is still time to play with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #608

 Hey Friends!!

Today I am popping in with a card to remind you that there is still time to play with this round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #608 is a THEME CHALLENGE-ADD A RIBBON OR A BOW.

I didn't make a card for this challenge but rather an ornament. I had started these ornaments during COVID. I had painted the noses and the heads but then did nothing. I am trying to finish unfinished projects in my craft room so I tackled finishing a few of these over Thanksgiving.

Below is the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Badge for Challenge #608:

Source

I started off by painting toothpick for the nose and spray painting a styrofoam ball for the head. When dry, I covered the head with some Snotex for texture. When dry, I adhered the nose and beaded eyes for the face.

I also painted the top of the salt shaker white and added some glitter paint for shine, something you cannot see from the angle of the snowflake. I added some candy cane sequins in the shaker and used E7000 to adhere the head to the glass.

I added a piece of white embroidery floss to the top of the shaker and glued this onto the head. I then added trim around the bottom of the "hat" and around the neck of the snowman. My last detail was to add the wreath with the ribbon.

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #608

 Hello Friends!!!

There is a NEW challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge this week. This will be the last one of the year!!! Challenge #608 is a THEME challenge. Add a BOW OR A RIBBON to your project.

I created a Christmas card for this week. I used dies from Spellbinders and paper from 49& Market to create this card. The colors were inspired by the Inspiration Badge for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #608.

Source

I started my project by die cutting the pine branches from green. I then die cut and put together the ornament and holly.

I adhered a piece of dry embossed, white cardstock on an A2 card front and layered a piece of 49 & Market paper that I had die cut using a border die. I then layered my die cut images over the card front.

I added the bow over the ornament and the sentiment and the card was finished. This would be an easy card to create a ton of if you did it assembly line style.

There is Still Time to Play at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge for Challenge #607

 Hello Friends!!

Today I am popping in with a card to remind you that there is still time to play with this round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #607 is a COLOR challenge.. Create a project using the colors TOFFEE, YELLOW and RED.

I dug out my Tim Holtz Leaf Fragment Dies to create my card. I used the colors from the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #607 Inspiration Badge but added some green to my leaves.

Source

I started off by doing some Ink Smooshing combined with some Distress Sprays to create the paper for my leaves. When the paper was dry, I die cut the three leaf fragments.

I distressed the edges of the leaves and layered them over a dry embossed wood texture panel that I also distressed. I love how those edges look on the dry embossing!!

I layered a sentiment from The Ton that was in my stash over the leaves and the card was complete. I LOVE how it came out. I am liking distressing the edges of my paper right now. It makes it so fun to create.

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #607

Hello Friends!

Today I am popping in with a card for the NEW round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #607 is a COLOR challenge. Create a project using the colors TOFFEE, YELLOW and RED.

I created my card with a stencil and embossing folder from Altenew called Leafy Splendor. I took the colors from the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Badge #607 as my inspiration for my leaves.

I used a combination of Distress Inks in the stencil to create the shades that I wanted.

I used a Tim Holtz Distress Tool on the edges of the paper and then used Vintage Photo Distess Ink over the edges. The Kraft card base was the perfect match for my embossed panel.

My sentiment is one that I had in my stash. I really love how this came out and I cannot wait to send this to someone special.

There is Still Time to Play with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #606

Hello Friends!!

Today I am popping in with a card to remind you that there is still time to play with this round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #606 is a THEME CHALLENGE-PENGUINS.

We have a sponsor this round-PJ MOORE ILLUSTRATIONS. This shop donated the adorable image, Penguin With Balloon, that I used on this card.

Below is the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Badge for Challenge #606:

I colored in my image using colored pencils. I attempted to get a bit of texture on the penguin with my coloring but I am not sure that I achieved what I wanted.

I added some purple pattern paper from my scraps to the card base and cut the white card panel with an angle at the top before I added it to the card.

Since the penguin was holding a balloon, I decided to create a birthday card. The sentiment was originally a long strip that I cut up and then randomly adhered to the card using foam adhesive. I wasn't sure where this card was going but I LOVE how it came out!!!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #606

 Hello Friends!!

Today I am popping in with a card for the NEW round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #606 is a THEME challenge-PENGUINS. We have a sponsor this round-PJ Moore Illustrations!

PJ Moore Illustrations generously donated the Building Friendships digital stamp that I used on my card. I colored in the image using colored pencils. Isn't it so cute?

As you can see, I did not use the color scheme from the Challenge Badge. Instead I decided to make a Christmas Card with more traditional colors.

Once I colored the image, I die cut it out using a Mama Elephant rectangle die. I then went through my stash to find pattern papers that matched the colors I used.

I added die cut snowflakes from my stash that I layered in between all the layers of paper. To complete my card, I added a few clear gems. I LOVE how this card came out and it was so fun to color!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #605

 Hello Friends!

Today I am popping in with a card for the NEW round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #605 is a COLOR challenge. Create a project using the colors LIME, PURPLE and BLACK.

I had a lot of fun using some new to me Spellbinders products. I used Faux Embroidered Pumpkins and Gathering Stitches Dies for my creation.

My green is a little off, I must say but it was the best I could do with what I had in my stash.

I do love how this came out and will be making more at a later date. I probably should not have added the witches hat but I thought it was too cute not to use.

Just a Reminder for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #604

 Hello Friends!!!

Today I am popping in with a card to remind you that there is still time to play with this round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #604 is a THEME CHALLENGE-COOL CATS.

Once again, I only used the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #604 badge as my inspirations. I chose not to use the pink and purple.

Source

I used an MFT Stamps once again for my cats. I used stamps and stencils for the background behind the cats.

The blue strips were created using a stencil. I decided to stitch on both sides of the white panel. Are they even? No but that was on purpose!!!

Christmas Cards for Some Challenges

Hey Friends!!!

Just popping in with some cards that I created for some challenges. I had some new supplies that I bought and they were delivered this past week. I HAD to use them!!

My first card I created for this weeks Inspired By... Challenge #306. I used the colors from the badge-orange, peach, tan and the dark green of the leaves. The stamp set I used is from Pinkfresh Studio.

Below is the badge for #IB306.

I  used the Simon Says Stamp Tessellating Snowflakes embossing folder for my background. I die cut it using an old MFT Blueprints Die #27.

My next card was inspired by two challenges-Tuesday Morning Sketches #778 and the Color Throwdown #815.

Once again I used the same Pinkfresh Studio Festive Foliage Tree Stamp/Dies/Stencil set.

I used another Simon Says Stamp embossing folder for the right side of my card.

For my third card, I used this the SAME stamp set but made a card for this weeks Jingle Belles Challenge. It was to use PINK on a card.

I did a little distressing on the edges of the bright pink cardstock and then cut off the tree so that I could put my sentiment on the embossed panel.

My last card I created using a bunch of die cuts that I had cut and put together over the year.

I used this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #658 as my inspiration for my card.

This sketch was PERFECT for all the tiny die cuts that I used. All of them are different Spellbinders dies.

Well that is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS week!!
