Fun Cars for some Challenges

 Happy Sunday!!!

The sun is shining today but I have decided to spend some time in my craft room. I wanted to create some cards for a few challenges this week.

The first card I created for this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge #743. It was to make a card using the colors pink, lime and white.

This card was so fun to create!! I shaded my card front with two types of pink ink. I then placed the Pinkfresh Studio Daisy Chain die cut over the top.

The flowers were die cut using a Momenta die and scraps. The roses were cut from blush cardstock and shaded with the same pink ink as the background. The flowers stems were die cut from some scraps of Basic Grey pattern paper. Oh how I miss this company!!!

The sentiment is from the Stylish Oval Stamp set from Spellbinders. I stamped it on white and used a circle die to cut it out. I then shaded it with pink ink. I just love how this whole card turned out!!!

I am entering this into the Color Throwdown Challenge #743 and the Happy Little Stampers-Anything Goes with Dies.

My next card I created for two challenges. I did a little distressing and used both premade elements and elements I had to create.

I used 49 & Market Countryside Collection paper and ephemera on this card

I added some Spellbinders flowers and a sentiment from MFT. I adore this paper collection!!! I know a lot of people love to create there own papers and I do too. However, I also like using pre-made papers as well. I kind of have an addiction to pattern papers and need to stop buying them.

I am entering this into this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #586 and this round of The Card Concept 195b. I loved the fun bird images and vintage flavor of the Card Concept badge. I am hoping it is okay to link to The Card Concept as I did not use any colors from the badge!!!

My last card I originally created for LAST WEEKS Freshly Made Sketches but never photographed it in time.

I just figured I would throw it on the blog for everyone to see. Don't you hate when that happens?

The background is from an embossing folder by Honey Bee Stamps. The postage stamp die is from Kat Scrappiness, the pattern paper from 49 & Market, and the planter is from Altenew.

Yes, my sentiment is not perfect. I tried to cut it in a straight line but I couldn't do it. This was my second attempt and I figured that I didn't care and am leaving it.

I do love how this card came out other than that and think I will make a couple more cards with this design for a set.

Well that is all from me today. Thank you for stopping by. Have a fabulous night!!!

A New Challenge at Cupcake Inspirations Challenges!!

 Hey Friends!!

I am just popping in with a new challenge from Cupcake Inspirations Challenges. Challenge #569 is all about mermaids!!!

The inspiration badge for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #569 is below.

I will be honest, I struggled with this challenge. Mermaids are just not my thing and I do not have any mermaid stamps. Etsy to the rescue!! I bought an image from the JuliaSpiri Shop and colored it in with Copic Markers.

I layered the image onto a a 5" by 7" card base that had a white, embossed piece of cardstock. The embossing was a net that I thought was PERFECT for this card.

As you can see, the hair gave me a bit of trouble. I was going to blend the top in but decided to leave it because I thought that a mermaid would have seaweed like hair.

Care to join us this round of Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #569? Hop on over to the blog for more information. I cannot wait to see what you create!!!

That is all from me today. Thank you for stopping by!!! Have a fabulous week!!

There is Still Time to Join Us for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #568

Hey Friends!! I am just popping in with a reminder that there is still time to play with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #568. It is a theme challenge this time around. It is to create a project for Mother's Day/Someone Special Feminine.

Like last week, I chose to create a card with ME in mind. I decided to do the same for this week. Since I lost my mother, Mother's Day is tough. I used the digital stamp "Gnome with Donut" that was generously donated to us by our sponsor for this challenge, PJ Illustrations.

Isn't this little gnome cute? I colored him in with Copic Markers and added some Glossy Accents randomly around the image when I was done. Hop on over to PJ Illustrations for more adorable digital stamps to use!!

Below is the challenge badge for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #658.

You might be thinking, why do this card in red? While I chose the background papers first and then colored in the gnome!!! All the pattern paper used were scraps that I had in my stash for YEARS!!!

The die cut sentiment and the sentiment strip were from my stash and I apologize for not remember the company where they came from.

Want to play with us this week? Hop on over to Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog for more information about this challenge and to see other fabulous projects from our Design Team!!!

That is all from me today. Thank you for stopping by. Happy Crafting!!!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #568-Mother's Day/Someone Special Feminine

Happy Monday everyone!!

Today there is a NEW challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations. For the next two weeks it is all about Mother's Day/Someone Special Feminine.

We have a sponsor this week-PJ Moore Illustrations!!! She generously donated the digital stamp "Let's Paint Elephant" that I used for this weeks card.

Okay, you are probably going to ask, where is the Mother's Day? Where is the feminine? I do not have anyone to give a Mother's Day card too and I LOVE blue so I decided to create a card for ME!!! I also loved this little elephant as these are one of my favorite animals.

Again, this image is from PJ Illustrations.

I used Copic markers to color my elephant in. I added the blue paint puddle and some drops myself. I should have done it in the computer but the idea did not come to me until later.

I stamped a sentiment using a Spellbinder's stamp and the die cut border is an old one from MFT.

For more inspiration from the Design Team and information on Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #568, hop on over to the blog. I hope you choose to play with us this week. I cannot wait to see what you create!!

That is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Happy Crafting!!

Some Cards for Challenges

**Some links in this post are Affiliate Links used at no extra cost to you

Hey friends!!

Just popping in with a card that I created for a challenge. I created a card using a sketch from the Tuesday Morning Sketches Blog

I actually flipped the original sketch and instead of a square, I used a pinked circle. Below is the Tuesday Morning Sketch #704 that inspired my card.

Here is the flipped sketch:

I used a bunch of stuff from my stash so not sure who made what at this point. This is the downside of using things that you already created or die cut!!

I adore how this card came out, though!!!

I also decided to play with The Card Concept Blog this week.

The gold and the blue and the flowers in the photo from The Card Concept #194 is what inspired my card.

I also liked the lace feel of the candle holder and decided to use the Floral Grid Coverplate PinkFresh Studio on my background.

The flowers are from Spellbinders Floral Reflection die set. The sentiment is from The Ton.

The next card is for TWO challenges. The design is inspired by this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #538 and the colors from Inspired By Challenge.

Below is my card:

The flowers, the "arch" and the leaves are all from Spellbinders.

The background is from Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is from my stash.

A really simple card but I LOVE how it came out!!!

That is all from me today. Thank you for taking the time to stop by!! Have a great day!!
