Guest Designer at Time Out Challenge #233

 Hello friends!!

Today I am popping into my blog with a card I made as a Guest Designer at Time Out Challenges #233. It is a THEME challenge this time around-ELEGANT.

I won the chance for this GD gig and I was so excited to be asked!!

There is a sponsor for this challenge this time around. Altenew is the sponsor and the
prize is a $25 store credit to the Altenew Store

Due to the fact that Altenew is the sponsor, I created a card using some of the new Decorative Enamels Die Set

I started off by die cutting a few papers that I made using oxide ink and a gel plate. I then layered this over a piece of pattern paper the "Grunge" 6" by 6" paper pad from the Craft Consortium.

The die cut sentiment is from my stash. I believe it is from Paper Trey Ink? The black flag is form my stash too.

I hope you like my card. Please hop on over to Time Out Challenges for more information on the challenge!! I cannot wait to see what you create!

I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog. I hope you had a FABULOUS day!!

Popping in With Some Cards for Challenges

Hi Friends!! Happy Sunday!!

I am just popping in with some cards that I created for some challenges this week.

My first card I was inspired by a few challenges.

I created this with some new supplies I received last week from The Greetery. When I saw the Hearts at Home Toaster Die, I knew I had to have it. My daughter and I have a personal joke. We have had it since she is tiny. We always write and say at the end of a text or conversation-"I love you more than toast!"

I printed my sentiments because, well, who has a silly sentiment like "I love you more than toast?" I figured that I might as well print out Happy Valentin'e Day! too so that it would match!

The paper I had in my stash forever is by Crate Paper (Sweethearts from the Heart Day collection) and the sequins I received in the Hero Arts January Monthly Hero Kit.

The challenge that inspired me for this card is Freshly Made Sketches #570. However, I flipped the sketch.

I was also inspired by the Time Out Challenge #230-Inspired Words.

This is how I feel about my daughter. She is the BEST thing that has ever come into my life!!

The third challenge that I am entering this card in is the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #194. I used the first column-a die cut, a heart and pattern paper.

For my second card, I was inspired by the Global Design Project sketch #378 and the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #408 inspirations badge. I am also entering it into this weeks Simon Says Wednesday Challenge-Anything Goes and A Blog Named Hero January Challenge-A Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

Of course I was too late to upload the card for the Global Design Project because I was too busy cleaning so my sister could come over and craft with me!! The card I created is below.

Once again, I used the Crate Paper "Sweethearts" for my background. To match the border on the sketch, I combined 49 & Market Salsa Ticket Essentials and a heart border I die cut with my Silhouette. I LOVE using fun things like ephemera on my cards when I can. I always forget about it because it is packed away but this was sitting out at my desk and was a must have!!

The Couture Creations "One Kiss" die is left over from my cards I created last week. I have to admit that I am kind of obsessed with this die now and I am glad that I pulled it out of my stash to use!! I used two sentiments from Hero Arts. The XOXO is from the January Monthly Hero Kit and the the "I love you more" is from the Loving Sentiment Strips stamp set.

I LOVE how this card came out and everything was on my desk as a "leftover" to use.

Well, that is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by!! Have a FABULOUS night!!

Some Cards for Challenges

Hello!! Just popping in to showcase some cards for a few challenges.

For my first card I created for Freshly Made Sketches #432 and The Card Concept #133.

I was inspired by the bouquet at the Card Concept and the Sketch below:

I used WPlus9's The Little Things stamps and dies for the all my stamping. (And yes, I know there is a misspelling in the sentiment. Didn't know it until this was already created. Sending it to someone that won't care.)

The lace border is from PinkFresh Studio Lace Edgers 1. The inks used were a combination of PinkFresh Studio and Altenew.

I am in LOVE with this stamp set!!!

For my next card, I used the Just Us Girls Photo Challenge #533 and the Color Throwdown #590.

I created my next card with scraps from my desk that I had left over from another project.

The flowers and the butterflies are from Reverse Confetti. I used the Butterfly Wreath and the Butterfly Wreath Confetti Cuts for the images. I colored then in with Copic Markers.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp and the pattern paper is a HALLOWEEN scrap!!!

I just LOVE this card and how it came out!!!

For my LAST card that I am posting today is for the As You See It Challenge #224-Flowers and this weeks Time Out Challenge Photo Inspiration. I used flowers from Altenew New Beginnings and Sweet Pea flowers for my focal point. The green and other colors were inspired from the Time Out photo.

Here is my card:

I used Copic Markers to color in the flowers and used Shabby Shutters Distress Ink and a stencil for the background.

I used Aqua Shimmer Pen and Glossy Accents in the center of the yellow flower.

That is all from me tonight. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS night!!

Hello! And a Few Challenge Cards

Hi everyone!! I hope you are all hanging in there.

I am on my fourth week of social distancing and working from home. We have done a pretty good job of not being at each other's throats. I am thinking this is because my husband, daughter and I hide in our corners during the day working and only really "socialize" at night.

I am going to admit, though, that this social distancing is starting to wear me down. I need to grocery shop and have been putting it off because I didn't have a mask. I spent about four hours yesterday making three-one for each of us. They are not fabulous BUT they will work. Lucky I had fabric hanging around as I got rid of a ton of it a couple years ago because I was not doing anything with it.

Given that I am going buggy, I have had mojo and have been using supplies that I have!!

My first card I created for my Aunt for her birthday, which was yesterday. Since I never sent it out, it is now late. I have a gift so I am going to the PO today when I go grocery shopping.

I LOVE how this came out!! I used the Canterbury Bells stamp set to stamp all of the flowers. The "make a wish" is from a Mama Elephant Mini Messages Stamp set.

I used green and yellow stamp sets of four to stamp the flower colors on the Canterbury flower and Copic markers to color in the small ones.

The background is a die from Lil' Inkers Design and the frame is Reverse Confetti's Stitched Note and Frames die.

I am entering this card into the following Challenges:
NBUS Challenge #13 (the flower set was never inked up!!)

For my second card, I again used the Altnew Canterbury Flowers but in purple to create my card.

I created a panel for the background with a NBUS stencil and green ink.

The sentiment was taken from the same set as the flower and heat embossed on black cardstock.

I covered the flowers with Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen and added some sequins that matched the flower color.

The white embossed panel is also from the Reverse Confetti Stitched Note and Frame die.

I am entering this card in Watercooler Wednesday Challenge WWC266. Heidi picked it this week and it is All About Occasions. I am sending this as a birthday card. I also made it for the Time Out Challenge #159. It was to use the quote on the badge for your card. My inspiration was the garden.

I am also entering it into this weeks Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, which was to use the mood board below as inspiration. I was inspired by the purple flowers.

That is all from me today. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by my blog today. I hope you all have a FABULOUS day and I will be back tomorrow with some more spring cards I created!!!

It is All About Valentine's Day.

Happy Sunday!! I hope you are all doing well.

It has been quiet here on the blog as of late. My mojo has run away again!! I sit down and try to create but then just can't. I have done all my usual things to inspire myself (which includes shopping-which I am trying NOT to do.)

I sat down yesterday and today and created some cards in an attempt to get it back. All are Valentine's that will be going out this week for some family members.

I am TERRIBLE at sending cards so I made a bit of an effort to do so this year. I bought a ton of stuff for a package for Charlotte too that I am getting ready to send that out tomorrow. Yeah, I know that Valentine's Day is more a commercial holiday but my birthday is on the 15th so I always try to make it special for those around me. Makes ME feel good!!! I always feel more comfortable giving than receiving.

My first card was base on this weeks Freshly Mades Sketches #421.

Here is the sketch that inspired this card.

I stenciled the background using an Echo Park stencil and some pink and red dye ink. The letter is from Waffle Flower Crafts "Mailbox Die" and was die cut from a red cardstock scrap.

The penguin is Simon Says Stamp's "Picture Book Hugging Penguin" and the sentiment is from their "Love and Valentine's Word Mix 2."

Who says penguins are just for Christmas cards? I love how this turned out!!

My second card was inspired by this weeks CASE this Sketch #348.

I kind of flipped the sketch twice to get my design. The original was this:

I flipped it to this:

The little envelopes and the mouse are both from Waffle Flower Crafts. Again, I used the "Mail Box Die" for the envelopes and the mouse is from the "Sending Love" stamp and die set.

I have never bought anything from them before but I had to have this set. I loved that mouse!!! The sentiment is from the Hero Arts February kit.

I used pattern paper from Reverse Confetti "Sweet as Sugar" Collection on the front as well. I am loving that I am using more pattern paper on my cards!!! I am trying so hard NOT to buy any more but I always get sucked in by the pretty patterns.

My last is for Time Out Challenges #154 "Affectionate Challenge" and this weeks Paper Player's Challenge #477 "Red, Pink, Black and White" Challenge.

Again, I used the Penguin from Simon Says Stamp, along with the "Rainbow Heart" die.

The rose is from the Hero Arts and the sentiment is from the Ink Blot Shop.

I wanted to keep the "rainbow" in pink and red colors for Valentine's Day so I used a TON of scraps...and have plenty left over to use on on other cards.

This one is not my favorite of the three but it will be sent out tomorrow with the others!!!

Well, that is all from me tonight. I thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Have a FABULOUS night!!
