A Couple of Cards

Hey Friends!!

Just popping in with a couple of cards for some challenges!!! I have not been crafting as much as I would have liked as I have been sick.

These two cards I created are very similar. My image is the Tiny Townie Wonderland Playing Card Guard from Stamping Bella. When I saw this image, I HAD to have it. I only got one but want the rest of the set but I am trying not to buy anything new!!

My first card was inspired by the Color Hues Challenge and Freshly Made Sketches #622.

I had a fun time creating the background with a combination of red and pink Distress Sprays.

I colored in my image using Copic Markers. The die cut hearts are from a Mama Elephant die.

My next card I used the Inspired By Challenge IB275. I used the pink and red colors, as well as the sprinkles on the whip cream.

I splattered pink Oxide Spray and did some hearts with a stencil on background. For some reason, the sprinkles just inspired this.

The sentiment is from the "So Very Lovely" Reverse Confetti sentiment set. I loved this company and miss it!!

Well that is all from me. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

I am just popping in to say there is still another week to play with the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #537. The theme is Valentine Hearts.

I did not make another card this week so I am reposting the card I created last week again.

I used a Digi Doodles Studios Digital Stamp generously gifted to us by our sponsor.

I hope you come on over and play with us at the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #537

I thank you for taking the time to stop by!! Have a FABULOUS day!!!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #537-Valentine Hearts

Hello everyone!! I hope you are all having a FABULOUS day.

It is time for a new Cupcake Inspirations Challenge. The next two weeks it is to create a card using Valentine hearts.

This week the Design Team is using digital stamps by Digi Doodle Designs

I was generously gifted Digi Daisy and Darby Dalmatian digital stamp to use on my card. Below is the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Badge #537.

I started off my card by printing out my image and coloring it in with colored pencils. I then die cut it and layered it onto an A2 card front that I had adhered a piece of red cardstock that I had die cut using the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Heart Coverplate and a die by The Greetery.

I finished it off with a retired greeting from My Favorite Things.

I hope that you will join us this week for the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #537. I cannot wait to see what you create!!

I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

Using my Stash: Valentines

Hello everyone!! I cannot believe how long it has been since I have posted ANYTHING on this blog. Moving my craft room from one floor to the next has taken me forever, since I have had to sort through everything and clean out the upstairs room too. It still is not complete BUT I am getting there!!!

In my sorting, I found some things that I decided I wanted to use. I forgot I even had this little kit from Making Memories and so I put it on my desk to remind me to use it when I had time. Well, this weekend I did!

I didn't use everything but I did pull out a lot and made three cards. I added a few things to it here and there but I love what I created!!!

This first card is my favorite. I used some pattern paper from my stash and added the frame, which was in the kit, that I had fussy cut it out. I then used foam adhesive to pop the "adore" bingo card up over it.

The little ticket and red twine were also from the kit. I added the xoxo that was sitting in my stash. I think it should have been the opposite, though, right? Oh well, it is adhered too well to pull it off!

I finished the card off with a Valentine sentiment stamped using Taylored Expressions Mini Strips: Valentine.

I am going to enter this card into this month's Color Hues Challenge: Red and Pink. I am also going to enter this into Just Add Ink's Challenge: Pick 2-banner, border bow. I have the bow and am counting the strip as my border!

For my second card I used items from the kit AND a stenciled heart background that I created last year and never used.

The little pattern square and ticket were from that kit. I added a doily and the felt heart, two other things I discovered as I was going through my stuff. Everything old is new again!!

That sentiment strips are from my stash as well. I just paired them together.

I don't do a lot of heavy layering on my cards because it is a pain to send but I love how this came out too!!!

My last card is a sympathy card.

The heart, the button, the twine and ticket were all from the kit. I added a Prima flower from a HUGE jar that I own, as well as some hearts that were die cut using a retired CAS-ual Fridays die.

The sentiment strips are from my stash. I think they are Taylored Expressions

The next two cards are kind of random for this post. I created them last month when I was doing this fun, stenciled/stamped/blended winter backgrounds.

The elves are Mama Elephant Little Agenda Elves that were colored and die cut

Other images are a combination of My Favorite Things and Lawn Fawn. To see how I created the background, go to this post. I don't have the energy to write it all down again!!!

The beauty of this card was that I had all the little images stamped and colored ahead of time. I just had to die cut the frame and make the background!!!

The last card is in this winter theme as well.

The snow man is from Mama Elephant's Little Snowman Agenda, the hills are from Simon Says Stamp and the trees/house are from Lawn Fawn.

The sentiment is from Hello Bluebird. Out of all the cards I created that day, this one is my favorite for some reason.

Did I bore you yet with all my cards? This has been kind of a long post but now I am done!!!

I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!!

It is All About Valentine's Day.

Happy Sunday!! I hope you are all doing well.

It has been quiet here on the blog as of late. My mojo has run away again!! I sit down and try to create but then just can't. I have done all my usual things to inspire myself (which includes shopping-which I am trying NOT to do.)

I sat down yesterday and today and created some cards in an attempt to get it back. All are Valentine's that will be going out this week for some family members.

I am TERRIBLE at sending cards so I made a bit of an effort to do so this year. I bought a ton of stuff for a package for Charlotte too that I am getting ready to send that out tomorrow. Yeah, I know that Valentine's Day is more a commercial holiday but my birthday is on the 15th so I always try to make it special for those around me. Makes ME feel good!!! I always feel more comfortable giving than receiving.

My first card was base on this weeks Freshly Mades Sketches #421.

Here is the sketch that inspired this card.

I stenciled the background using an Echo Park stencil and some pink and red dye ink. The letter is from Waffle Flower Crafts "Mailbox Die" and was die cut from a red cardstock scrap.

The penguin is Simon Says Stamp's "Picture Book Hugging Penguin" and the sentiment is from their "Love and Valentine's Word Mix 2."

Who says penguins are just for Christmas cards? I love how this turned out!!

My second card was inspired by this weeks CASE this Sketch #348.

I kind of flipped the sketch twice to get my design. The original was this:

I flipped it to this:

The little envelopes and the mouse are both from Waffle Flower Crafts. Again, I used the "Mail Box Die" for the envelopes and the mouse is from the "Sending Love" stamp and die set.

I have never bought anything from them before but I had to have this set. I loved that mouse!!! The sentiment is from the Hero Arts February kit.

I used pattern paper from Reverse Confetti "Sweet as Sugar" Collection on the front as well. I am loving that I am using more pattern paper on my cards!!! I am trying so hard NOT to buy any more but I always get sucked in by the pretty patterns.

My last is for Time Out Challenges #154 "Affectionate Challenge" and this weeks Paper Player's Challenge #477 "Red, Pink, Black and White" Challenge.

Again, I used the Penguin from Simon Says Stamp, along with the "Rainbow Heart" die.

The rose is from the Hero Arts and the sentiment is from the Ink Blot Shop.

I wanted to keep the "rainbow" in pink and red colors for Valentine's Day so I used a TON of scraps...and have plenty left over to use on on other cards.

This one is not my favorite of the three but it will be sent out tomorrow with the others!!!

Well, that is all from me tonight. I thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Have a FABULOUS night!!
