A Card Set

***Some of the links in this post are Affiliate Links used at no extra cost to you!!

Hey friends!!

Just popping in with a card set I created this weekend. I belong to a small challenge community and one of the challenges was to create as many cards as you could from one 12" by 12" challenge. There was a sketch with dimensions on how to cut your paper but right off the bat, I messed up. So I went with what I had and I LOVE what I created!!!

The piece of pattern paper I used had orange polka dots on one side and on the other, it had white distress with some writing. It was from Pink Paislee Twilight Collection and the name of the paper is Eclipse. It is a VERY OLD piece of paper and I could not even find a link for it!!

I paired it with various die cut and stamped sentiments that were in my "extra" box and as well some dies from Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Club dies. I have a subscription and have a TON I have not used. I figured this type of challenge would be great for them.

I was able to create FIVE cards and I LOVE how they came out!!

The first card I created is the "Let's Celebrate Card." I used the Spellbinders November 2022 Small Die of the Month Club "Layered Floral Card Creator" die set for my flowers paired with a "Stylized Border Trio" that was the June 2022 Small Die of the Month.

I used Distress Inks to make the greenery in the die cut piece. It is modeled after a piece of Basic Grey paper that I LOVED and used up.

I used clear sparkle pen, Glossy Accents and some orange pearls to complete my design.

On my second card, I did a bit of distressing on the edges of the pattern paper. I used both sides of the paper on this, as well as some orange paper that I created with Distress Inks.

I stuck with the same Spellbinders "Layered Floral Card Creator" to make my cards cohesive.

For my third card, I used the back of the pattern paper and Spellbinders border dies for the background.

I added another tube flower in blue in the arrangement, as well as some sparkle marker and Glossy Accents on various flowers.

The sentiment was printed out from my computer and I added orange pearls for more detail.

My fourth card, I embossed the background with Honey Bee Stamps' "Spring Medley" embossing folder.

By now, I only had some scraps of pattern paper left. I made a grid of six 1 1/4" squares and added some flowers that were left over.

I actually think that this one is my favorite out of all five cards.

My pattern paper was getting down to the very end for my last card.

The borders were die cut from the back of the pattern paper and orange paper that I had created.

I used the last of my extra flowers and leaves to complete the card. Don't look too closely at the borders as I had to finagle them to get them all on this card!!!

I am entering the cards into some challenges. Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Anything Goes" and Allsorts Challenge "Anything Goes."

Well, that is all from me today. I want to thank you for stopping by. Have a happy Tuesday!!

A Day Late and a Dollar Short...

(Some links in this post are Affiliate Links used at no extra cost to you.)

Hello friends!!!

I am not sure about you but I often use challenges to create cards when I am in a rut or when I just want to stretch my creativity. That said, I am great at doing the challenges but then never post them!!!

Today I am posting two cards that I created using various challenges as inspirations.

My first card I used last weeks Freshly Made Sketches #573 and Sunday Stamps color badge as my main inspiration for my card. Of course I missed the posting date for the sketch but I had fun creating anyway!

I am in the Small Die of the Month Club over at Spellbinders and I had to use the Floral Mini Tiles, the February die, for the "strips" on the sketch.

I paired these dies with the Spellbinders Leafy 3D Embossing Folder and a sentiment from Outlined Sentiments, the August 2022 small die of the month.

I LOVE how this card came out so much that I created another card with some leftovers!!

I am entering my second card into this week's Little Red Wagon #693-use your die cuts and Simon Says Stamp! Wednesday Challenge-Anything Goes.

Once again I started off with the Floral Mini Tiles from Spellbinders and the Leafy 3D Embossing Folder

I die cut a decorative edge using Spellbinders' Stacked Decorative Edges dies (retired May 2020 Small Die of the Month) and placed three tiles to the right, over the die cut.

The sentiment is ALSO a Spellbinders' Small Die of the Month. It is from the Layered Mix and Match Sentiment Set, the September 2021 set. I actually did not mean to use all Spellbinders dies BUT I have been trying to "use what I have" and I have a TON of dies I have not used!!!

I even made a THIRD card from my extra flowers from the Floral Mini Tiles die set but will post that another day. I have yet to photograph it!!

That is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS night!

Tis the Season

Hi friends!! It has been a long time that I have sat down to just make a card for myself, using whatever I wanted. Today I did some cleaning and decided to take a time out create a card for two different challenges.

I created this for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #512 and The Color Throwdown #669.

I started by doing a bit of ink blending with Chipped Sapphire and Prized Ribbon Distress Ink. I then used a new stencil that I received from Stamperia. My last step was to use Gold Color Shine, Picket Fence and Prize Ribbon Distress Spray Stain.

I used Spellbinders November 2021 Small Die of the Month Club for my ornament. I die cut the ornament out of white and gold cardstock. I used some navy gems for some fun on my ornamnet.

My pine boughs and Typed Christmas sentiment are from Hello Bluebird and the foiled strips are from a DCWV foiled paper pad.

I had SO MUCH FUN creating this card!!! I am so into blue and gold at this moment. I wish I could make it my color scheme but I am not willing to spend money on new ornament.

I am looking forward to seeing my daughter this week. She is coming home on Tuesday and I have not seen her since October. This week is going to be so busy!!! I am having my family and Chris at Thanksgiving this year after not seeing anyone last year.

Well, that is all from me. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by!!! Have a FABULOUS day!!
