Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday!!!

I hope you all are having a fabulous weekend. They go so fast, don't they?

I am popping in with a some cards for some challenges.

Last weekend was my birthday and I had to make some thank you cards to send out. I used two challenges as my inspiration. The Inspired by Challenge #324 I was inspired by the yellow in the apples and the pinky/coral/white color in the tin from the photo. I was also inspired by this weeks Color Hues Challenge #104-yellow and coral.

I did some ink smooshing using Scattered Straw, Squeezed Lemonade and Abandon Coral Distress Ink for the background on both of my cards.

I then used a combination of stamps and stencils, with the same inks, to enhance the backgrounds.

The "thanks" sentiment and leaf die is from Simon Says Stamp. I die cut the sentiment in five times-3 out of scraps of white cardstock and 2 out of cardstock I inked with Squeezed Lemonade and Abandoned Coral Distress Ink. These were so fun to create!!!

For my second card, I used a challenge from a private challenge board I am a part of.

I chose to use some pattern paper that I received via a Simon Says Stamp! card kit I received in the fall.

I cut the paper into 3, 1 1/2 by 4 inch strips. I adhered it over a white card base that had a blue piece of cardstock on it.

Once again I used the Windswept Leaves from Simon Says Stamp and the sentiment is from The Greetery. Simple and easy but so impactful.

My last card I used this month's Altenew Challenge for February 2025 as my inspiration.

I used a new stamp bundle I bought in December from Altenew on my card. I used the Peony and Lilac Swag for my image.

I stamped the image to create a no line coloring technique. I used a combination of inks with the matching stencils and then copic markers to create some dimension.

I made a background using a stencil from my stash. The sentiment is from the same stamp set as the flower.

Well, that is all from me today. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. I hope you all have a fabulous week!!

There is Still Time to Play with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #611

 Hey Friends!!

Today I am popping in with a card to remind you that there is still time to play with this round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #611 is a COLOR challenge.. Create a project using the colors RED, BLACK and WHITE.

We have a sponsor for this round-Last Minute Manda. I used one of the adorable pups from the Little Dog Valentine Digital Stamp Set for my card.

I used Copic Markers to color in the dog using dots to create something that looks like "fur."

I layered it over some pattern paper from an old "Head Over Heels Collection" by Bo Bunny Press and Echo Park.

I then added some twine around the bottom and stamped a sentiment in the middle of the heart. I think this came out so cute.

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #611

 Hey Friends!!

Today I am popping in with a card for the NEW round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #611 is a COLOR challenge. Create a card using the colors RED, BLACK and WHITE.

We have a sponsor this round-Last Minute Manda. I used one of the adorable dogs from her Little Valentine Digital Dog Set that she generously gifted the Design Team.

I printed this puppy out larger than I usually do because I wanted him to be the showcase of the card.

I colored in my dog with Copic Markers and cut it out. I layered it over some pattern papers from an old paper pack by Bo Bunny Press.

I added some tags and a "stamp" from the Ticket Essentials by 49 & Market. I adhered die cut hearts over the top of them and covered them with Glossy Accents.

Some More Cards for Challenges

 Happy Saturday!!

Today I am popping in with some cards that I created for a BUNCH of challenges. I have decided that the best way for me to work on cards is to stamp/die cut a punch of elements, then put together the cards at a later date. It somehow helps my creativity. I also have a ton of supply links. NONE are affiliates but I add them just in case you want to purchase.

My first card is the last of my Valentine's that I created so far. I am not sure that I will be making more as I only send out a few to people I care about.

I had extra hearts left over from my of session die cutting with Simon Says Stamp's Geometric Building Hearts and a bunch of pattern paper scraps.

The sentiment is from MFT Stamps (retired) Little Love Notes. The embossing folder is the retired Spellbinders Intertwined Lattice Folder.

I am entering this card into all the challenges below:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge-Love is in the Air

AAA Colourful Challenge-Colourboard #12

My next card that I created is a Birthday card.

I used The Greetery's Pinwheel Party Stencils and Dies as the focal point for this card.

I used the colors from Just Add Ink's #737 badge as inspiration. The green was inspired by the limes, the pink by the watermelon.

The sentiment is from The Greetery's Birthday Bloom's Stamp and Die set and I also used the Twisted Crepe Die to "hang" my pinwheels on.

For the embossed background, I used Honey Bee Stamps 3 D Burlap embossing folder. I didn't use the correct sandwich in my embossing machine so that I would only get a tiny bit of the texture from the folder. This is a way to stretch your supplies.

The inspiration for the layout of this card was from this week's
Freshly Made Sketches #672.

For my last card, I once again I used The Greetery's Pinwheel Party's Dies and Stencils to create a birthday card.

I used the Male Room Challenge #195 as the inspiration for this card. The challenge was to create a monochrome card.

I used the blue as my color and plenty of white space for my design. I actually used the Distress Ink Salty Ocean for both the light and dark blues. I just used a heavier hand to create the darker blue.

The sentiment is  also from The Greetery's Birthday Blooms. I am trying to use supplies that I have to create more cards rather than just collecting!!!

I think my favorite part of this card was to add the blue gems throughout the design.

Well, that is all from me today. I am off to actually create some cards as my blogging as inspired me to craft today.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS Saturday afternoon.

A Valentine Card

 Happy Thursday!

I have had a snow day today. The beauty of working in a school. It couldn't have come at a better time either. I so needed the day off!

Since I had the time, I spent some time in my craft room. It was so relaxing.

I used hearts that I cut out last week to make this Valentine card. I love when I am able to die cut a ton of images out and have enough to make more than one card.

I used the Simon Says Stamp Geometric Builders Heart Dies for the hearts. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Big Valentine's Day.

I am entering this card into a few challenges. I was inspired by Just Us Girls Challenge #761-Use a Heart Die. I am also entering this into Paper Players Challenge #723-Love is in the Air.

That is all from me today. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!
